Today is all about treating yourself to your favourite foods, whether it is a stack of pancakes for dinner or an extra scoop of ice cream. While we humans get to indulge a little, it is important to remember, our dogs don’t get the same luxury when it comes to food choices, it would not be a happy eat what you want day!
Why? Dogs have very different digestive systems and nutritional needs and while it may be tempting to share a bite of your burger or a slice of bacon with your dog, many human foods can be harmful, or even toxic to dogs. Chocolate, onion and fatty scraps are just a few common culprits that can upset your dogs stomach or cause serious health issues.
That is why feeding your dog a balanced, natural kibble diet is one of the best gifts you can give them, not just today but every day.
